1. One of the best ways to be more productive in your work from home job is to schedule yourself a fifteen minute break every two hours. The truth is, it is often difficult for people to stay focused on a task for more than two hours at a time. Scheduling in a fifteen minute break will give you time to clear your head and you’ll be ready to go back to work with a fresher mind.
2. Don’t try to do too many things at one time. While multi tasking can be a great skills, it can also be a little confusing. The truth is, it can take time to get back into a previous task, so instead of doing two things at a time, finish one task before you start another.
3. While a lot of people find a radio to be a pleasant background noise, for a lot of people it can be very distracting. The best thing you can do is to try working with background noise and then without it. Which way actually helps you to concentrate on your work better?
4. Begin everyday by making out a list of all the tasks you need to get accomplished. Keep this list in front of you at all times. If you don’t keep a list, important tasks may go unfinished or forgotten and it could easily lead to the downfall of your job.
5. Eliminate a lot of what distracts you from your work at home job by creating a work area that is away from the noise in your home. Having an office directly off the living room is probably not going to be the best choice. Instead, try to set up your workspace in a spare bedroom or even a corner of your basement. This will allow you to be more productive, as you will be less distracted by others in your home.
